World wide web |
What is the Full form of WWW?What does it do?
The Worldwide Web (WWW) is commonly known as the Web.
What is the definition of WWW?
.
The web is also referred to formally as the World Wide Web (www).
In simple language, It means a collection of information that can be accessed with the help of the Internet.
In simple language, It means a collection of information that can be accessed with the help of the Internet.
The Web is the service that we get after getting connected to the Internet. There are basically billions of pages that are created by billions of computer users which we can access only if we have the internet connection only when we are online or connected to the world servers where billions of computers are connected worldwide Net.
Generally when we type URL A collection of related web pages could be accessed usually the Main page after getting access to the first page if we like the front page we access the other pages or content of the website or Blogs.

The resources of the WWW i.e web pages are transferred by
the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and It can be accessed by any users
all across the world by a software application called a web browser which is published by a software application called a web server. This server is connected to
other countries' servers.
Who Introduced WWW to the public?
On 6th August 1991, Tim Berners-Lee introduced www to the public.
Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee Tim Berners-Lee is an English engineer and computer scientist best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web.
World Wide Web |
When was www became available to the general public?
WWW became available
to the general public on 23 August 1991.
The WWW is what most people today consider the
"Internet" or a series of sites and pages that are connected with
links or URLs.The internet had hundreds of people who helped develop the standards and technologies that we use today, but without the WWW, the Internet would not be as popular as it is today.
We should thank those who research on many searchable topics and they upload it on the Internet Publish it on the Internet to keep us updated they inform us what is happening all around the world. That can be News websites, Affiliate marketing, Health-related sites, Jobs related sites, etc.
What is a web browser?
A Web Browser software that allows the users to view or retrieve documents that are available or published in the Internet servers.
It is software the application used to search/ locate, retrieve and display the content that we
want to access on the World Wide Web, they can be webpages, images,
videos or any other files etc
What are the Examples of Web Browser?
Most popular Web browsers are:
1.Google Chrome
2.Mozilla Firefox
3.Internet Explorer
4.Apple Safari
5.Konqueror
6.Opera browser etc.
5.Konqueror
6.Opera browser etc.
What are the different types of The World Wide Web?
- Basic World Wide Web Model.
- Universal Resource Identifies.
- Hypertext Transfer Protocol.
- Hypertext Markup Language.
- Interactive World Wide Web Model.etc.
Which was the First World Wide Web Browser?
Mosaic the first widely-used graphical World Wide Web browser, which was Introduced by NCSA with the help of Marc Andreessen and ERIC Bina on April 22, 1993.History of the World Wide Web
Tim Berners-Lee |
Timothy John Berners-Lee(Tim Berners-Lee) was known as an
English Engineer and computer scientist. who contributed a lot to the invention of the Internet & World Wide Web?
www is an information system where documents and another web
pages or Web sources are identified by Uniform Resource Locator( URLs) such
as https://www.friend.com/), which may be interlinked by HTML and are
accessible or scrolled over the Internet to find the information required by the users
The resources of the WWW are transferred via the Hypertext Transfer Protocol HTTP) and It may be accessed by users by a web browser or software application or any other medium .which is published on the Internet or uploaded in the Internet by any medium software application etc.is called a web server.

Timothy John Berners-Lee(Tim Berners-Lee) wrote about the first web browser in 1990 while he was employed at CERN near Geneva, Switzerland. The browser was released outside CERN in 1991, first to other research institutions
starting in January 1991 and then to the general public in August 1991.

Paul Jones of UNC chapel hill in North Carolina announced in May 2013 that Tim Berners-Lee gave him what he says is the oldest known web page
during a visit to UNC in 1991. Jones stored it on a Magneto-Optical drive
and on his NeXT computer.
On 6 August 1991, Tim Berners-Lee published a short summary of the World Wide Web project on the newsgroup alt hypertext.

Historians generally agree that a turning point for the Web
began with the 1993 introduction of Mosaic.
The World Wide Web enabled the spread of information over the Internet through an easy-to-use and flexible format. It thus played an important role in popularising the use of the Internet.
Later Netscape A big competitor to Mosaic also gave his
contribution to the world which was released a year later. the lesser-known Erwise and ViolaWWW. was also developed.which did not become very famous.
Mosaic was developed at the National Center for
Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois at
Urbana–Champaign beginning in late 1992.

CERN |
CERN computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee proposed an idea for
a database of hypertext links that would allow people to send data and
communicate across a network. Berners-Lee wasn't looking to transform modern
life when he invented the World Wide Web; he had just got tired to change or switch computers whenever he needed to access information that
wasn't on his main work computer.so as we say "Need is the Mother of all Inventions"
He needed a medium wherein there will be no need to change computers again & again an Invention of WWW was done.
Who
created 1st search Engine for Internet browsing & When?
In 1992 Archie The first tool used for
searching content on the Internet was Archie.
It was named as Archie because it was named as Archive. And it stands for "archive" without the
"v". It was basically created by Alan Emtage, Bill Heelan, and J.
Peter Deutsch, They were computer science students at McGill University in Montreal,
Quebec, Canada.
In Archie manually the programs were downloaded, the directory
listings of all the files located on public anonymous FTP (File Transfer
Protocol) sites, creating a searchable database of file names; Archie Search The engine did not index the contents of these sites since the amount of data
or the web pages were very limited it could be readily searched manually.
