What is computer software?
The word software
was used for the first time in late 1960.
software is a set of pattern or
instructions or programs that instructs a system for performing a particular
task .
Example When we write a
letter we follow certain rules we set a margin and we decide a proper page
in which a letter will be written we put Name, Address, date, etc A software
has the pattern coded inside it.
In simple language whatever command we give
to our computer/laptop,Mobile or Smartphone’s he understands it due the
software inside it. We use many software in our daily life.
Example :Software can be divided in two sections
System Software and Application software.

System Software: When we turn on the
computer it is the system software which get started and gets loaded in the
memory It runs in the background. The other name for System software is
LOW-LEVEL SOFTWARE They Basically manage the Behavior of the computer like what
will happen when we right click a mouse or when we press enter we go to the
next line of the page you are writing .
What are the types of Application software?
Example: File Management
tools, MAC, WINDOWS, Linux, Device drivers, operating system, utilities,
Assemblers, Debugger, and Compilers etc
Application Software: It is also known as
END USER PROGRAMME They include many things making notes ,Designing graphics
,maintaining accounts, calculations, Games, Online Researches etc
Other examples will be Media player, iTunes, VLC etc used
for movies
Lambada Test, Sales Force, Slack, SaaS ,cross
browser test, are Software as a services
Games like Candy crush, GTA, Ludo, Chess etc
Antivirus
software like Quick heal, Norton, McAfee Kaspersky, Avast etc.

seen and touched are called hardware.

Examples: Monitor, CPU, Keyboard, Mouse, Sound
card Speakers, data card Graphics card expansion cards ,Charger etc All the software are
stored in hardware And all the commands are given through hardware whether it
be keyboard or a mile or Joystick etc Hardware also show us the result of the
command given to the computer.
